These grants are ONLY for LGBTQ+ youth partnering with registered nonprofits AND public and charter schools within the United States, Washington D.C., and its territories. Grants in increments from $500 to $10,000 will be awarded to exceptional projects led by LGBTQ+ youth (13-18) in collaboration with a partner organization aiming to make their communities a bolder, safer, and prouder place for all.

True Voices is a new grant program launched by It Gets Better Canada (“IGBC”) to empower, inspire and encourage 2SLGBTQ+ secondary students from coast-to-coast-to-coast. This initiative is led and funded by It Gets Better Canada, a registered Canadian charity - Registered Charity Number 750714297 RR0001. The goal is for students to spearhead youth-led projects as an avenue for overcoming the challenges that 2SLGBTQ+ youth and their communities are facing.

Projects awarded will be 2SLGBTQ+ youth-focused that are created, developed and produced by secondary students associated with an Eligible Organization, under the supervision of at least one faculty member (teacher, administrator, advisor, etc).

Les vraies voix est un nouveau programme de bourses créé par It Gets Better Canada (« IGBC ») pour outiller, inspirer et encourager les élèves 2SLGBTQ+ au secondaire d’un océan à l’autre. Ce projet est mené et financé par It Gets Better Canada, un organisme de bienfaisance canadien enregistré - Numéro d’enregistrement 750714297 RR0001. L’objectif est d’encourager les élèves à faire appel à la puissance du partage d’histoires comme avenue pour surmonter les difficultés auxquelles les jeunes 2SLGBTQ+ et leurs communautés font face.

Les projets bénéficiaires de bourses seront des projets de partage d’histoires axés sur les jeunes personnes 2SLGBTQ+ et menés par les jeunes créés, développés et produits par des élèves du secondaire en collaboration avec un organisme admissible et sous la supervision d’au moins un·e membre du personnel scolaire (enseignant·e, administrateur·rice, conseiller·e, etc).
